This is the second in a series of winter bird illustrations on my Etsy site. It is an Original Ink Illustration of a crow in the foreground and circling crows in a winter scene. This was inspired by watching crows circling above the trees while I was out walking on New Years day. The swirling black flock or murder of crows made a dramatic scene against the pale blue winters sky.

Day 1 – It is official. My Etsy shop is open for business.
Very exciting day for me with lots of reading and anticipation. I am not totally sure I did everything correctly, but I guess I will find out soon.
I only had one illustration for sale. I was hoping to sell prints, but it turns out my printer is not up for art quality. Not really a press without a printer or letterpress or something, well I will get one as soon as possible.

I though this would be the first illustration I would put in my Etsy shop when it officially opens on the 1st of January, 2012, but now I think it needs work. I think will just chalk it up to a learning experience. I really want a distinctive style, but this is not there yet.
This is happening! I bought a domain! Look at my little URL. Woo Hoo! I am officially a startup ….. or I will be January 1, 2012! So coming soon ….. Apples and Pears …. The startup year.
Yes I am completely changing directions. That happens when you realize where you are going somewhere you do not want to go. SO …. new plan, and it is opening ….My own business! I know crazy, but apparently people do it all the time. Whew….Crazy! So my goal is opening an Etsy shop Jan 1, and my first steps in that direction are getting information, making a logo, developing a business plan and license and hopefully have it up and going Jan 1, 2012. So does anyone know how to get a business license in South Bend, Indiana?
And now to work on that banner!
